Deputy Prime Minister Bekim Sali Participated in the International Mother Language Day

Upon the invitation of the Director of the Agency for the Application of Languages, Granit Osmani, Deputy Prime Minister Bekim Sali took part in the marking of the International Mother Language Day. The event was also attended by the Deputy Prime Minister in charge of Good Governance, Arben Fetai, the Mayor of the Municipality of Tetovo, Bilal Kasami, as well as the Ambassador of Kosovo, Florian Qehaja.

On this occasion, Sali emphasized that the mother tongue represents the foundation of identity, cultural heritage, and social cohesion, stressing that its use and respect in institutional and public life constitute a fundamental right and a democratic standard.

Referring to the Albanologist Eqrem Çabej, he recalled that language is the clearest mirror of the history and spirit of a people and therefore should be nurtured and promoted as a unifying value in a multiethnic society.
