The Law on Free Access to Public Information was adopted in January 2006, thus joining the community of over 75 countries in the world that have laws guaranteeing the right to access public information. The law is in accordance with Article 16 of the Constitution of the Republic of Macedonia, which guarantees free access to information, freedom to receive and impart information.
