The Secretariat for European Affairs, in accordance with the determination to strengthen institutional capacities in the process of European integration, continuously ensures the strengthening of state institutions and upgrading of the state administration in order to efficiently implement the reforms for EU membership.
In support of the long-term work aimed at strengthening administrative capacities in the process of better understanding the European Union, its policies, legal framework, functioning, as well as its instruments, in June 2011 the SEA Training Center was established and promoted. In February 2012 it was put into full operation.
The Training Department for the Use of European Funds and Other Foreign Assistance (Training Center) is a Department within the Sector for Coordination of European Funds and Other Foreign Assistance and is part of the accredited NIPAC structure.
The SEA Training Center of the Secretariat for European Affairs prepares and implements training needs analysis (Training Needs Assessment, Individual Training Plan), training plans (CO Operational Plan), has and manages a group of expert trainers from the state administration, manages the database of identified needs, planned and implemented trainings in the EU accession process, as well as the use of European funds.
The type of training for civil servants in relation to the EU integration process is determined in accordance with the needs expressed in the appropriate form (TNA form and ITP form).
The trainings are designed and coordinated in cooperation with domestic institutions and international donors. In terms of bilateral cooperation, the SEA Training Center has an active approach to bilateral partners.
The SEA Training Center has had its own premises since June 2011, located in a building in front of the Government of the Republic of Macedonia, with training facilities, a computer workshop, a library and appropriate equipment.
