The Ministry of European Affairs carries out the following tasks:
- ensuring coordination and harmonization of the work of state administration bodies and other bodies and institutions for the preparation of the Republic for membership in the European Union, including negotiations for membership in the European Union;
- ensuring coordination of the activities for the implementation of the Stabilization and Association Agreement concluded between the Republic and the European Communities and their Member States and other agreements concluded between the Republic and the European Union, as well as of the working bodies established within the framework of the concluded agreement and other agreements with the European Union;
- ensuring coordination of the process of preparing the Macedonian version of the law of the European Union (acquis communautaire);
- ensuring coordination for the purpose of harmonizing the work of the representatives of the Republic in the institutions and bodies of the European Union;
- ensuring coordination for the purpose of harmonizing the work of the Republic as a member state of the European Union;
- ensuring coordination of foreign assistance from the European Union and its member states and other foreign assistance related to reforms complementary to the process of integration of the Republic into the European Union;
- informing the public about activities related to the process of European integration and European issues;
- as well as other matters related to the European Union that will be determined by the Government
- performing other matters determined by law.
