First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for European Affairs Bekim Sali on an Official Working Visit to Ukraine

The First Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of the Republic of North Macedonia and Minister for European Affairs, Mr. Bekim Sali, will be on an official working visit to Kyiv, Ukraine, where he will hold meetings with high-level representatives of Ukrainian state institutions.

As part of the visit, Sali will participate in a commemorative ceremony in honor of the fallen defenders of Ukraine, together with the Prime Minister of Ukraine, Ms. Yulia Svyrydenko, expressing solidarity and support for the Ukrainian people.

During the visit, a bilateral meeting is scheduled with the Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine, Mr. Taras Kachka, at which they will discuss progress in the European integration process, the implementation of reforms, and the advancement of cooperation between the two countries in the EU accession process.

The agenda also includes a meeting with the Chairwoman of the Committee on Ukraine’s Integration into the European Union at the Verkhovna Rada, Ms. Ivanna Klympush-Tsintsadze, focusing on parliamentary cooperation and the exchange of experience in accession negotiations.

Sali will also meet with the Grand Mufti of Ukraine and President of the Religious Administration of Muslims of Ukraine, Ahmed Tamim, to discuss interreligious dialogue and the role of religious communities in promoting peace and social stability.

The visit aims to deepen bilateral cooperation and reaffirm North Macedonia’s support for the sovereignty, territorial integrity, and Euro-Atlantic perspective of Ukraine.
