Minister of European Affairs Orhan Murtezani met today with the Special Envoy for the Western Balkans of Hungary, Ambassador Zsolt Bunford, at which the close and dynamic cooperation between the two friendly countries was confirmed.
The focus of the talks was the European dossier of North Macedonia and the implementation of the Reform Agenda within the framework of the European Commission's Growth Plan for the Western Balkans. Minister Murtezani expressed gratitude for the continued support from Hungary, especially visible and vocal during their recent presidency of the Council of the EU.
Murtezani and Bunford agreed that it is necessary to continue the reform processes and to use all European instruments for institutional and economic development, which will accelerate the country's European path. The importance of regional cooperation was also emphasized, as a key factor for the stability and progress of the Western Balkans.
Minister Murtezani and Ambassador Bunford reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening bilateral cooperation and intensive communication between the two governments towards fulfilling common European goals.
