First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for European Affairs Bekim Sali met with the Secretary of State for the European Union of the Kingdom of Spain, Fernando Mariano Sampedro Marcos, who is paying a working visit to the Republic of North Macedonia.
The meeting focused on North Macedonia’s EU accession process, the implementation of the Reform Agenda, and the latest developments regarding the European Union’s enlargement policy.
Minister Sali expressed his appreciation for Spain’s continued support for North Macedonia’s European perspective, emphasizing that preserving the credibility of the EU enlargement process is of strategic importance not only for North Macedonia, but also for the stability and security of the wider region.
The interlocutors reaffirmed the excellent bilateral relations between the two countries and expressed their readiness to further strengthen cooperation in support of North Macedonia’s European agenda.
