First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for European Affairs Bekim Sali participated in the session of the National Council for European Integration, where he presented the Government’s views on the European Commission’s 2026 Rule of Law Report and the implementation of the Reform Agenda.
In his address, Sali stressed that EU membership remains the country’s highest strategic priority and that reforms in the rule of law must be accompanied by tangible and measurable results.
He underlined that North Macedonia continues to be among the leading countries in implementing the Reform Agenda, noting that €142.1 million has already been secured under the Growth Plan, while the fourth payment request, covering 22 completed reform steps, has recently been submitted.
Sali called on all Members of Parliament to support the reform process, emphasizing that political differences should not undermine the country’s strategic European objective or the benefits that citizens expect from EU integration.
