The First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for European Affairs, Bekim Sali, participated and delivered opening remarks at the MBT Conference 2026, taking place in Skopje and recognised as one of the leading regional events in the field of broadcasting and telecommunications.
In his address, Minister Sali emphasised that digital transformation and European integration are closely interconnected processes, underlining that modern infrastructure, secure communication systems and technological innovation are essential components of the country’s democratic and economic development.
He highlighted the importance of regional cooperation and the exchange of expertise at a time when digital challenges, cybersecurity and the sustainability of critical infrastructure are becoming increasingly important within the European Union as well.
“Technology knows no borders, and the challenges we face require joint solutions and strong regional and European partnerships,” Sali stated.
The MBT Conference 2026 brings together representatives of institutions, broadcasting companies, international experts and leading technology companies, focusing on current topics such as 5G Broadcast, artificial intelligence, cloud technologies, quantum-safe networks and energy efficiency in modern communication systems.
