First Deputy Prime Minister Bekim Sali welcomed by Ukraine’s Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Oleksandr Mischenko

The First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for European Affairs, Bekim Sali, arrived in Kyiv today to participate in the Ukraine – South-East Europe Summit, held on the occasion of Ukraine’s Statehood Day.

Upon his arrival in Ukraine, Minister Sali was welcomed by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Oleksandr Mischenko, the Ambassador of the Republic of North Macedonia to Ukraine, Dimitar Blazhevski, as well as representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and other senior officials.

The participation of the First Deputy Prime Minister in the Summit reaffirms the Republic of North Macedonia’s continued support for Ukraine, its sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity, as well as its European future.

During his stay in Kyiv, Minister Sali will participate in the plenary session of the Ukraine – South-East Europe Summit, where he is expected to reiterate North Macedonia’s unwavering support for Ukraine and its readiness to share its experience and expertise gained throughout the European integration process.

The Summit brings together leaders and senior representatives from Ukraine and the countries of South-East Europe to discuss regional cooperation, continued support for Ukraine, and the advancement of its European integration agenda.
