Today, a workshop on the strategic communication framework for EU assistance / IPA III communication and visibility was held at the Training Center of the Ministry of European Affairs (MEA). The event was organized within the framework of the Project "Support for Policy Reforms, Accession and Effectiveness (SUPRAE)", funded by the European Union, and implemented by the consortium led by GOPA-PACE. Participants in the event were representatives from IPA and public relations departments of the institutions that are part of the sectoral operational programs within the IPA III program.
The workshop was opened by Evgenija Serafimovska - Kirkovski, NIPAC Office, Head of Department at MEP, Elena Presilska, Special Advisor in the Cabinet of MEP Murtezani, Aleksandar Melamed, Team Leader Communications and Press at the Delegation of the European Union to North Macedonia and Mojca Grošelj, Team Leader of the EU Project "SUPRAE". The trainer was Bojan Kordalov, Senior Expert for Communication and Visibility, engaged within the EU Project “SUPRAE”.
The main objective of the workshop was to improve the knowledge and skills of the participants for effective public awareness raising about the opportunities that the EU provides as financial assistance to North Macedonia, including the IPA III programme. The focus was on building trust, promoting transparency and increasing the visibility of the EU integration processes and the visibility of EU-funded projects, as well as a concrete contribution to the fight against disinformation on the accession path of North Macedonia to the Union.
During this workshop, two key communication documents were presented to the participants: the draft Strategic Communication Framework for EU Assistance and the draft Strategic Communication Action Plan related to the IPA III programme. These strategic documents have also been developed within the framework of the SUPRAE project - sub-component for "Communication on country policies, EU accession and EU assistance", with the aim of ensuring effective, coherent communication activities that are aligned with EU financial mechanisms, while integrating monitoring, evaluation and update systems.
