North Macedonia and Hungary cherish traditional friendship and partnership. Our country expects Hungary's support for the imminent opening of negotiations with the European Union and finding a solution to the dispute with Bulgaria. This was emphasized by the Deputy Minister for European Affairs and Deputy Chief Negotiator with the EU, Prof. Dr. Viktorija Trajkov, at the meeting with Zsolt Bunford, Hungary's Special Envoy for the Western Balkans and one of the most prominent advocates of EU enlargement to the Western Balkans.

Prof. Dr. Trajkov highlighted the achievements of our country in the field of European integration processes, describing them as clear evidence of our country's commitment to the path to the EU. The Deputy Minister also expressed gratitude for Hungary's continued support for our integration processes.
"The mission of our Government is clear and unambiguous, to accelerate EU integration, to resolutely fight organized crime and corruption, to strengthen the civil state based on the rule of law and to improve the economic and social well-being of citizens," emphasized Prof. Dr. Trajkov after the meeting with Bunford.

Bunford praised the activities of the Macedonian government so far, emphasizing its commitment to the reform processes. The Hungarian Special Envoy for the Western Balkans confirmed Hungary's commitment to strengthening the stability and economic development of the region.
