The Minister for European Affairs and First Deputy Prime Minister, Bekim Sali, held a working meeting with the Ambassador of the Republic of Austria, Martin Pamer, during which the ongoing reform processes and cooperation with Austrian partners were reviewed.
During the discussion, the importance of Austria’s continued support for North Macedonia’s European integration was emphasized, as well as the alignment of Austrian development cooperation with national reform priorities.
Minister Sali informed about the ongoing activities related to the implementation of the Reform Agenda and the preparations for the opening of negotiating clusters, with particular emphasis on the rule of law, public administration reform, and the improvement of institutional capacities.
The interlocutors also discussed opportunities for further cooperation through European instruments, particularly in areas related to good governance, the environment, and the strengthening of administrative structures.
At the meeting, a shared readiness was expressed to deepen the partnership and to improve the coordination of development assistance in support of the country’s reform processes and European integration.
