The First Deputy Prime Minister, Bekim Sali, held a meeting at the Government with the President of the State Election Commission (SEC), Bojan Marichikj, and Vice President Abdush Demiri, where they discussed the proposed amendments to the Electoral Code.
At the meeting, it was emphasized that these amendments, submitted by the SEC to the Assembly and the Ministry of Justice, are of particular importance for advancing the reform agenda and implementing electoral reforms.
The participants also referred to the latest report of the OSCE/ODIHR, which positively assesses the organization of the 2025 Local Elections, noting progress in democratic processes.
The Government remains committed to implementing reforms in accordance with the planned timeline, with the aim of strengthening democratic standards and ensuring free and fair electoral processes.
