As part of the official visit to Brussels, the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of European Affairs, Bekim Sali, held a meeting with Member of the European Parliament Matej Tonin (EPP) at the European Parliament.
During the meeting, discussions focused on North Macedonia’s progress in the EU integration process and the implementation of key reforms, including the rule of law, public administration, and the rights of communities. The importance of ensuring that bilateral issues do not hinder the country’s progress toward the EU was emphasized.
The achieved progress under the Growth Plan and the digitalization of services was also assessed, including the WiFi4WB project and accession to SEPA, as well as cooperation with the Cypriot Presidency and European partners in addressing challenges faced by transport operators following the introduction of the Entry/Exit System.
First Deputy Prime Minister Sali reaffirmed North Macedonia’s commitment to the European path and its readiness to further advance every reform in cooperation with European partners.
