The Minister for European Affairs of the Republic of North Macedonia, Orhan Murtezani, on the first day of his working visit to Brussels, met with MEPs Tijs Reuthen (S&D) and Matej Tonin (EPP), shadow rapporteurs for North Macedonia.
The meetings confirmed the strong support of the European Parliament for the European perspective of North Macedonia. The MEPs stressed the importance of reforms and the dynamics of the accession process, as well as the need to build stable relations with all EU Member States. It was emphasized that the continuation of the integration path depends on joint efforts and a constructive approach in addressing the challenges on the European path.
Minister Murtezani expressed gratitude for the continued support and emphasized North Macedonia’s commitment to the European agenda. He emphasized that the country remains an active partner in the accession process and expects a predictable and fair approach from the European Union.
Minister Murtezani’s visit to Brussels continues with a series of meetings with representatives of the European Union institutions.
