The First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for European Affairs, Bekim Sali, today opened the second session of the Monitoring Committee for the Reform and Growth Facility (RGF), attended by representatives of the European Commission, the Delegation of the European Union, state institutions, civil society, and international partners.
In his address, Minister Sali emphasized that North Macedonia remains fully committed to the European agenda and to implementing reforms that bring concrete benefits to citizens.
“European integration is not only a political priority, but also a strategic investment in the long-term stability, security, and prosperity of the country. The Reform Agenda represents a key tool for accelerating reforms and bringing the country closer to the European Union,” Sali stated.
He expressed gratitude to the Delegation of the European Union in Skopje, Ambassador Michalis Rokas, and the European Commission for their continuous support in the implementation of the Reform Agenda and the Growth Plan for the Western Balkans.
Sali emphasized that North Macedonia is among the most successful countries in the region in implementing the Reform Agenda, having so far secured more than 142 million euros through the Reform and Growth Facility, while in the latest assessment cycle, 65.7 million euros were approved — the highest amount disbursed in the region.
At the meeting, progress was presented in the areas of public administration reform, the rule of law, digital transformation, the green transition, public finance management, and human capital development.
The participants reaffirmed their joint commitment to continuing the reforms and effectively using the Reform and Growth Facility as a mechanism that brings concrete benefits to citizens and the economy.
