The First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for European Affairs, Bekim Sali, attended the celebration marking the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the Economic Chamber of Northwest Macedonia, where he highlighted its significant contribution to the country’s economic development over the past two decades.
In his address, Sali emphasized that the Chamber represents a strong voice of the business community, an important partner of the institutions, and an active promoter of economic development. He noted that a strong economy means more jobs, better wages, and a more secure future for citizens.
Reflecting on contemporary challenges, the First Deputy Prime Minister pointed out that digitalization, artificial intelligence, the green transition, the shortage of qualified workforce, and global competition require an even stronger partnership between institutions and the private sector.
“The role of institutions is to create favorable conditions for development through legal certainty, more efficient procedures, and policies that encourage investment and innovation. On the other hand, business remains the driver that creates value, jobs, and a competitive economy,” Sali emphasized.
In conclusion, he expressed gratitude to the founders, leadership, and members of the Economic Chamber of Northwest Macedonia for their contribution to the country’s economic development and wished that the coming years would bring new investments, economic growth, and greater opportunities for the business community and citizens.
