The Secretariat for European Affairs announces an Information Day dedicated to the 4th thematic call for funding projects within the framework of Intereg Euro-MED, which is organized in cooperation with the Joint Secretariat of the Program.
The Information Day will be held on 29.04.2024 at the Training Center for the Secretariat for European Affairs.

The agenda for the event will be shared with registered participants in a timely manner.
The 4th thematic call will be open in the period March 12 - June 12 this year. It is intended to support projects in all operational missions of the Programme and should contribute to the achievement of the following priorities and specific objectives:
Mission 1: Strengthening an innovative sustainable economy
o Priority axis 1: Supporting a smart Mediterranean region
§ Specific objective 1.1: Consolidating/strengthening a competitive and innovative environment
o Priority axis 2: Supporting a greener, climate-resilient Mediterranean region
§ Specific objective 2.6: Supporting the development of a circular economy
Mission 2: Protecting, restoring and enhancing the environment and natural heritage

Mission 3: Promoting a green environment

Mission 4: Strengthening sustainable tourism
o Priority axis 1: Supporting a smart Mediterranean region

The call is intended for the following types of thematic projects:
- testing projects – through pilot activities to test common instruments, policies, strategies and action plans already identified through previously implemented projects, with the aim of identifying concrete solutions transferable to a larger number of beneficiaries and territories, and
- transfer projects – transferring and disseminating existing results from a specific project, as well as replicating and scaling up the project results in other areas of the Mediterranean region and its neighbouring areas.
The EU budget for this call is around €44 million, which will finance 80% of the eligible costs of the approved projects. The remaining costs (20%), which are not covered by EU funds, should be provided by national co-financing sources (public or private).
Potential beneficiaries of funds from the call, depending on which mission of the Program the project is focused on, are:
- public institutions at local, regional and central level and associations formed by them,
- higher education institutions and centers for education and research,
- international organizations regulated by national legislation,
- citizens, non-governmental organizations and associations,
- chambers of commerce,
- small and medium-sized enterprises, etc.
