ZMEP Trajkov: The Government remains committed to European values ​​and the rule of law

Deputy Minister for European Affairs, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Viktorija Trajkov, attended the workshop "Presentation of the draft guidelines with the methodology for including anti-corruption in chapters/clusters," which was held today in the Government.

In her address, Deputy Minister Trajkov emphasized the importance of the methodology for including anti-corruption policies in the negotiation process with the European Union.

"Through such initiatives, we prove our firm commitment to transparency, accountability and the rule of law as fundamental European values. Anti-corruption measures are not only an obligation in the negotiation process with the European Union, but also an essential need for improving the lives of citizens and restoring trust in institutions," Trajkov said.

The workshop presented the draft guidelines that will serve as the basis for the future work of the institutions, with a special emphasis on cross-border cooperation and harmonization with European standards. The attendees discussed the challenges and opportunities for applying the proposed methodology, as well as the importance of continued support from international partners.

The event was attended by representatives from the public sector, civil society, international organizations and experts, who emphasized the importance of the fight against corruption as a fundamental basis for a successful accession process to the European Union.

Deputy Minister Trajkov expressed gratitude to all participants for their contribution and emphasized that the Government remains committed to establishing an integrated and comprehensive system for fighting corruption, which will advance the democratic functioning of institutions and accelerate the country's European path.
