Conditions for receiving a scholarship for the 2013-2014 academic year

Candidates for a postgraduate scholarship must meet the following requirements:

-be citizens of the Republic of Macedonia;

-be civil servants in the Republic of Macedonia

-hold a university degree for completed appropriate higher education

-confirm that they are enrolled in postgraduate studies at a higher education institution in the Republic of Macedonia with the appropriate postgraduate program in the following areas: European law, economics, EU policies and/or multidisciplinary studies on the EU/EEA;

-have excellent command of the English language (knowledge of other languages ​​of the EU member states is considered an advantage).

Applications from candidates who:
-are about to complete postgraduate studies and defend their thesis

-have already completed one postgraduate study and are seeking a scholarship for a second postgraduate study;

Please note that:

-Preference will be given to candidates who are members of the working groups under the National Programme for the Adoption of the EU Acquis (NPAA), employed in EU departments within ministries and administrative bodies
-selected candidates are obliged to complete their studies and obtain a master's degree within a maximum of 3 (three) years from the date of enrollment in the studies;
-selected candidates are obliged to continue working in the state administration for a period of at least 4 (four) years after completing their postgraduate studies.

What are the required documents? or,
What should the application contain?

-a completed application form for the competition for the award of scholarships for postgraduate studies in the field of EU (the application form will be available after the competition for the award of scholarships for postgraduate EU/EI studies is announced);
-a CV in Macedonian and English (EU format);
-link to the postgraduate study program – if there is no link or the program is not described on the Internet, a list of the subjects that the program consists of;
-a letter explaining the reasons for applying, in Macedonian and English.

Submitting a scholarship application

The scholarship competition will be announced in the public media and on the website of the Secretariat for European Affairs www.sep.gov.mk during September and October 2007. Scholarship candidates can submit their applications with the required documentation electronically to the following e-mail addresses: biljana.stojanoska@sep.gov.mk or ljubica.siljanovska@sep.gov.mk or by mail to the following address and note:

Or personally submit them in a sealed envelope to the Archives of the Government of the Republic of Macedonia.

What next?

After the selection of the received applications/requests for a scholarship to support postgraduate studies for the EU/EI, the selected candidates sign an agreement with the Secretariat for European Affairs of the Government of the Republic of Macedonia, by which they will commit to continue working in the state administration for a period of at least four years, after completing their postgraduate studies.
