FOR AWARDING SCHOLARSHIPS FOR SECOND-CYCLE ACADEMIC UNIVERSITY STUDIES "GABRIELA KONEVSKA TRAJKOVSKA" IN THE FIELD OF LAW, ECONOMY AND EU POLICIES ABROAD FOR THE ACADEMIC YEAR 2017/2018
For the thirteenth time in a row, the Secretariat for European Affairs and the Government of the Republic of Macedonia are implementing the activity: awarding scholarships for second-cycle academic university studies in the field of law, economics and EU policies abroad. The purpose of providing financial resources for sending staff for additional specialization in the field of the EU is to build and strengthen the professional skills of civil servants engaged in the process of approximation and future accession to the EU.
Who can apply?
The competition is open to administrative servants of the Republic of Macedonia.
The Gabriela Konevska Trajkovska Scholarships are intended for scholarship candidates who are already enrolled in higher education institutions abroad with an appropriate program of second-cycle academic university studies in the field of law, economics and EU policies abroad.
This competition concerns academic university studies of the second cycle in the field of law, economics and EU policies abroad, whereby preference will be given to candidates:
who do not have secured financial means to cover the studies in the listed fields on another basis, whose approved applications for enrollment are from faculties that are ranked higher according to the Shanghai List, as well as to candidates with a high average success rate in their studies and candidates with completed undergraduate education at highly ranked universities according to the national ranking or
who do not have secured financial means to cover the studies in the listed fields on another basis and are enrolled in postgraduate studies in the field of the European Union at the College of Europe in Bruges, Belgium or at the College of Europe in Natolin, Poland, in accordance with the concluded Memorandums of Cooperation between the Secretariat for European Affairs and these higher education institutions.

The competition for the award of the “Gabriela Konevska Trajkovska” scholarships was announced on 16.01.2017 in the two most widely circulated public media, the newspaper “Dnevnik” and the newspaper “Koha”, on the website of the Secretariat for European Affairs https://mep.gov.mk/mk-MK/obuki/stipendii, then on the website of the SEP Training Center tc.sep.gov.mk, as well as on the national television service.
The competition lasts until 14.02.2017.
On 01.02.2017 (Wednesday), at 10:00, an information day will be held in the premises of the SEP, at Kej Dimitar Vlahov no. 4, Skopje (former building of Komercijalna Banka), when more detailed information about the scholarships will be available.

or by personally submitting them in a sealed envelope to the Archives of the Secretariat for European Affairs of the Government of the Republic of Macedonia.
What next?
The evaluation of the received applications is carried out by a specially formed Commission. After the first selection, candidates who meet the administrative requirements will be invited to an interview. The Commission proposes a ranking list to the Government of the Republic of Macedonia, and makes the selection after the adoption of the ranking list by the Government.
Future scholarship holders
The scholarship provider undertakes to cover costs up to a maximum of 20,000.00 euros. Costs exceeding the stated amount will be borne by the scholarship beneficiary. The funds are allocated to cover the costs of tuition, accommodation, food and travel expenses to the study destination and back.
The selected candidates sign a contract with the Secretariat for European Affairs of the Government of the Republic of Macedonia. The selected candidates undertake to be employed in the state administration bodies for a period of 3 years from the completion of second-cycle academic university studies.
All candidates who applied for the competition are notified of the selection of candidates within eight days of the date of the selection.
