Following the European Council Resolution “EU Youth Strategy 2019-2027” and the “Youth Manifesto by young people in shaping European cooperation policy”, as well as the identified need for a more active involvement of young people in the decision-making and implementation of the EU Strategy for the Adriatic and Ionian Region (EUSAIR), the EUSAIR participating countries, under the Albanian Presidency of the Strategy, decided to establish a EUSAIR Youth Council. This was confirmed by the adoption of the Tirana Declaration in May 2022.
The aim of the Council is to integrate youth views into EUSAIR, ensuring that the future of our region reflects the aspirations and needs of the younger generation.
The EUSAIR Youth Council will be composed of young people aged 18 to 29, and will serve as an independent advisory body, bringing fresh, innovative ideas directly to the EUSAIR governance structures.
Therefore, we are pleased to announce the opening of the call for expressions of interest for inclusion in the Youth Council and to invite all interested young people from North Macedonia who are motivated to drive change and introduce innovative solutions to the challenges facing the Adriatic-Ionian Region to apply.
The call for applications is open until 27 May 2024, 17:00 (CET).
