Chapter 3.28 Consumer protection and public health regulates two areas, consumer protection and public health, which represent one of the basic policies of the EU. It covers the safety of livestock for the general consumer, the protection of the economic interests of consumers, as well as specific binding rules in the field of public health. The purpose of the implementation of this policy is to provide greater protection of the health and safety of the consumer, protection of the economic interest of the consumer, the right of the consumer to be informed and educated, the right to compensation for damages and the right to association, as well as representation and participation of consumers in order to exercise their rights.
In the field of public health, politicians refer to the protection and improvement of the health of citizens, the modernization of the health infrastructure, as well as the improvement of the efficiency of the health system. With the implementation of EU regulations in this area, good consumer protection and a good health system will be ensured, which is directly related to the quality of life of citizens.
