Chapter 3.02 Free movement in the workplace consists of the following areas: general principles of the labor market, EURES, coordination of social security systems and the European Health Card.
The European legislation in the field of free movement of workers consists of rules that ensure the right of EU citizens to work in other member countries, to reside there for that purpose and together with their family members to enjoy the same rights as citizens of that member country, in relation to working conditions and social and tax benefits. The application of EU law from this chapter will be effected upon admission to North Macedonia in the Union, in relation to access to the labor market and EU regulations and directives for the coordination of social insurance systems. The right to free movement of workers at the non-EU level is complementary/supplemented with the system for coordination of social insurance systems, i.e. the right of migrant workers and those who directly depend on them, to obtain, accumulate and transfer rights from social insurance, as well as to be able to pay them.
