The right to establish and the freedom to provide services

Chapter 3.03 Right of establishment and freedom to provide services covers the following areas: right of establishment, freedom to provide cross-border services, honest services and mutual recognition of professional qualifications.

This area represents a collection of policies aimed at securing one of the freedoms of the single market of the European Union. The goals of the EU in terms of the Right of establishment and freedom to provide services are to enable persons and companies to establish agencies, branches, and subsidiaries in other member countries under the conditions established for their citizens in the corresponding country. Free movement of services is a central element in the European integration of countries. A very important directive in this area is the Services Directive, which aims to remove all legal and administrative barriers that allow free access to services on the EU market.
