Chapter 3.22 Regional policy and coordination of structural instruments covers the following areas: legislative framework, administrative capacity, programming, monitoring and evaluation, and financial management and control. The main objectives of the national policy in this area are: Efficient use of pre-accession assistance to North Macedonia, support in meeting all the criteria for EU accession; maximum absorption of IPA funds; ensuring adequate, effective and efficient implementation of IPA-funded projects; managing the development of all regions in the country. Balanced regional development will help create equal opportunities in all regions across the country so that they can be integrated into the economy. Strengthening administrative capacity as a guarantee of fully and effectively used IPA assistance by the country.
