Chapter 3.33 Financial and budgetary provisions covers the field of traditional “own resources”. This chapter essentially covers the rules and the establishment of necessary conditions and capacities of the own resources system, so as to timely and accurately calculate the collection, payment and control of funds to be paid by the Republic of North Macedonia to the EU budget from the day of its accession. These funds are the so-called traditional own resources, which come from the collected customs revenues, value added tax and gross national income of each Member State. The acquis in this area is directly binding and does not require transposition into national law.
