External relations

The acquis on Chapter 3.30 External relations, is aimed at establishing a common EU trade policy, rules applicable to international trade organisations such as the World Trade Organisation and the EU's role in those organisations, compliance with trade agreements between the EU and third countries, as well as the implementation of European development and humanitarian policy in terms of developing countries. The abovementioned EU policies cover trade in goods, services, commercial aspects of intellectual property and foreign direct investment.
