NEGOTIATING CHAPTER
Chapter 3.21 Trans-European networks covers the following areas: transport, energy infrastructure and telecommunications. The acquis is a set of policies that contribute to the completion of road networks, in order to establish a Core network for road, railway, air and water transport, inland waterways, maritime traffic and ports. The ultimate goal is to complete the missing traffic infrastructure, remove bottlenecks and technical barriers, while creating social, economic and territorial cohesion in the country, the region and the EU. In the TEN field, the EU is also focused on completing energy corridors, in order to ensure security of energy supply, diversification of energy sources and smooth functioning of internal markets.
