DURATION OF THE INTERNSHIP PROGRAM: 18- 22 May, 2015

DESCRIPTION: In May 2015 a group of 4 representatives from the Sector for Preparation of the National Version of Acquis - Secretariat for European Affairs (SEA) were on a one week internship in the counterpart department within the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Republic of Croatia. The internship was organized as one of the planned activities within the Twinning Project “Further Strengthening of the Organizational and Institutional Capacities of the EU Integration Process” having Germany, Poland and Croatia as Twinning Partners of the Project. The aim of the internship was to gain an in-depth know-how of all the obligations arising from the pre-accession and after-accession period in the field of the national version of Acquis. The participants had the opportunity to meet and discuss with key stakeholders from the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Republic of Croatia as well as with experts from other line ministries different aspects of organization of the translation, legal and expert revision and finalization of the Croatian version of the EU legal acts, of the Croatian legislation into English and of various documents for the needs of the EU accession negotiations. By the end of 2015, other 4 groups of 4 representatives from SEA and Macedonian line ministries will pass through the same internship program thereby increasing the level of competencies in this field.
