Chapter 3.14 Transport policy covers the following sectors: road traffic, railways, inland waterways, combined transport, aviation, maritime transport, state aid and satellite navigation.
The acquis is a set of policies aimed at maintaining the EU economy through the construction and maintenance of a modern infrastructure network, which will meet the needs for greater mobility and security, while promoting sustainability and digitalisation. Completing the road and rail infrastructure between EU Member States and other EU aspiring countries, removing bottlenecks, which will contribute to the better functioning of internal markets, and the removal of technical barriers. Enabling the smooth transport of passengers and goods to recover and strengthen the EU economy.
