Chapter 3.03 Right of establishment and freedom to provide services covers the following areas: right of establishment, freedom to provide cross-border services, postal services, and mutual recognition of professional qualifications.
This area is a set of policies aimed at ensuring one of the freedoms of the EU’s single market. The objectives of the EU in terms of the Right of Establishment and the freedom to provide services are to enable persons and companies to establish agencies, branches, subsidiaries in another Member State under conditions laid down for the nationals of the respective country. Free movement of services is a central element in the European integration of countries. A very important directive in this area is the Services Directive, which aims to remove all legal and administrative barriers to the free flow of services in EU markets.
