Union Programmes
The Programme for Employment and Social Solidarity – PROGRESS is a substitute for the existing Community programmes in the field of employment, social inclusion and welfare, labour relations, gender equality and non-discrimination that ended in 2006. The Programme is open for organisations active in the combat against discrimination, promoting gender equality and integration of disabled persons in the society. Financial support aimed at social dialogue development, free movement of workers and researches in the social area is envisaged in the Programme.
The Ministry of Labour and Social policy is the national partner institution responsible for implementation and coordination of activities related to the Programme.
The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding on the Programme for Employment and Social Solidarity – PROGRESS by the Minister for Labour and Social Policy, Ljupco Meskov, and the Commissioner for Employment, Social Affairs and Equal Opportunities, Mr. Vladimir Spidla, has eliminated all the impediments for full participation of the Republic of Macedonia in the Programme.
