Today was held presentation of the Procedural manual on Terminology in the Club of the Members of Parliament. State Secretary of the Secretariat for European Affairs Ms. Ana Blazheska had opening remarks at the presentation of the manual.
In her speech Ms. Blazheska referred to the content, purpose and benefits of the Procedural Manual on Terminology.
Procedural Manual for Terminology covers the terminology in the context of the preparation of the national version of the acquis (EU Law) managed by the Secretariat for European Affairs, which is of great importance for the consistent translations of legislation and making sure source of rights and obligations of our citizens.
It is intended for translators, revisers, terminologists, as well as all interested in terminology work in general. The Manual is a set of guidelines for translation of the terminology in the Sector for preparation of the national version of the acquis within the Secretariat for European Affairs, emphasised Blazheska.
The Manual contains the basic principles of terminology followed by a detailed description of the work and activities, the role of the participants and their obligations in the translation of terminology, preparation of definitions, practical aspects of managing terminology and issues related to quality assurance and control.
This manual is a very useful tool that can be used by all stakeholders in the process of creating a national version of the acquis communautaire (EU Law) and provision of high quality.
