Yesterday evening, as part of the ceremony of the National Day of Italy, the Ambassador of the Republic of Italy HE Mr. Ernesto Massimino Bellelli presented to the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Macedonia in charge of European Affairs, Fatmir Besimi, PhD, a supreme national award, Order of the Star of Italy - Grand Officer.

The Order is presented on the basis of a decision by the President of Italy, HE Mr Sergio Mattarella, to the Deputy Prime Minister Besimi for the contribution to the improvement of the friendly relations and the cooperation between the Republic of Macedonia and the Republic of Italy in the European integration process, particularly during the Italian Presidency of the EU Council.

The solemn event was held at the Macedonian National Theatre, in the presence of numerous number of guests, representatives of the diplomatic corps, government and public life.
