Today at the MK-EU Info Centre, the Secretariat for European Affairs in cooperation with the French Embassy held an event "the European Union in Macedonia - Coffee break with the French Embassy", which is part of the events for celebrating the Europe Day.
It is important to celebrate the Europe Day. Beyond the current events, we want to mention for the Macedonian citizens that the destinies between France and Macedonia are closely associated, and the closeness is obvious, as message of the countries founders remains the obligation for building a better future - emphasized the Ambassador of France, Mrs. Auer.
The Deputy Prime Minister Besimi emphasized that Macedonia must continue its way to full integration into the European Union and successfully overcome all the challenges in achieving this goal. The EU values are the same values in which our citizens recognize themselves.
The event was attended by citizens, the famous designer with extensive experience in France, Mr. Izet Curi, employees at the SEA, ambassadors of EU Member States and representatives of the media, which had the opportunity to socialize with the Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of the Republic of Macedonia in charge of European Affairs, Dr. Fatmir Besimi and the French Ambassador Mrs. Lawrence Auer.
The Secretariat for European Affairs, the French Embassy and their guests spent their coffee break together in mutual informal conversation in the ambient of the beautiful sounds of French music, enriched with photographs of Paris and French specialties.
The Project "European Union in the Republic of Macedonia" is part of the EU Agenda 2014 and 2015 of the Secretariat for European Affairs and it will be implemented in cooperation with the embassies of the Member States of the European Union in the Republic of Macedonia.
