Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of the Republic of Macedonia in charge of European Affairs Fatmir Besimi, PhD today met the new British Ambassador in the Republic of Macedonia, His Excellency Charles Garrett.

Besimi has congratulated him on his term of office and discussed about the bilateral cooperation between the two countries, and about the possibilities of extending and deepening of the same.
Deputy Prime Minister Besimi at the meeting has pointed out the importance of the support of the United Kingdom to the Republic of Macedonia in the process of accession to the European Union.

Among other things, at the meeting has been discussed the friendly cooperation between the two countries in other areas, such as funds of the European Union, whereas the expert assistance of the Great Britain is of great importance for the Republic of Macedonia.
