The Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of the Republic of Macedonia in charge of European Affairs, Fatmir Besimi, PHD and the Minister of Foreign Affairs Nikola Poposki, held a meeting today with Stefan Füle, European Commissioner for Enlargement.
The meeting has been focused on the European perspective of the Republic of Macedonia and the region, whereas a major emphasis has been placed on the High-Level Accession Dialogue (HLAD) regarding which the interlocutors agreed that the next meeting at high level is to be held after the parliamentary and presidential elections. The possible main topics that will be covered in the future High-Level Accession Dialogue such as good neighbourly relations, the rule of law and fundamental rights have been discussed at the meeting.
Among other things at the meeting, it was agreed that after the elections, the integration of the country into the European Union will continue to be a top strategic priority.
