Today, the Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of the Republic of Macedonia for European Affairs Fatmir Besimi, PHD had a meeting with the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland, Mrs. Henryka Mościcka-Dendys.
At the meeting, Besimi emphasised the strategic commitment of the Government of the Republic of Macedonia for the membership in the European Union, the progress in meeting the criteria for membership in the European Union and the efforts undertaken by the Government in building good neighbourhood relations, which would open the road for Macedonia into European and Euro-Atlantic integration.
The Polish Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dendys, stressed that the Republic of Poland strongly supports the enlargement of the European Union and will continue to support the Republic of Macedonia on this path, emphasising their disposal to share the experience in implementing the reforms and meeting the criteria of the European Union. Besimi expressed his gratitude for the support offered by the Republic of Poland as our partner in the process of Euro-integration of the country and also noted that it is necessary to strengthen the existing good economic cooperation, which will contribute in increasing the number of Polish investments in the Republic of Macedonia.
Both of the interlocutors underlined that the good bilateral relations between the Republic of Macedonia and the Republic of Poland will continue and an effort will be made in strengthening the cooperation in the field of culture, education, science, health, justice and the rule of law, which are the driving forces of the country towards the EU.
