Today the Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of the Republic of Macedonia responsible for European Affairs, Dr. Fatmir Besimi, met the Ambassador of the Republic of France in the Republic of Macedonia, Laurence Auer.
During the meeting in the Secretariat for European Affairs, the interlocutors confirmed the excellent cooperation between the two governments, as well as the cooperation between the Secretariat for European Affairs and the Embassy of the Republic of France in Macedonia. In this context, the Deputy Prime Minister Besimi emphasised his commitment and willingness for further continuation of the cooperation which has already begun and which is documented by a Memorandum of Cooperation in order to complete the Communication Strategy on IPA and exchange of communication experiences.
During the meeting, the emphasis was put on the importance of deepening and expanding the cooperation between the two governments, in terms of supporting the Republic of Macedonia in its way towards the European Union, on the principle of partnership, openness and constructiveness.
In the end, the interlocutors emphasised the importance for the Republic of Macedonia in this period to show progress towards the start of negotiations with the European Union and the promotion of reforms, as well as the need for all stakeholders in the country to contribute to this process through dialogue to overcome all challenges towards achievement of the strategic goals of the Republic of Macedonia, and that are the euro integrations.
After the meeting, in order to confirm the bilateral cooperation, the Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of the Republic of Macedonia, Dr Fatmir Besimi, and the Ambassador of the Republic of France, Laurence Auer, jointly attended the Workshop on "How to organise a good event for the public", which is held until 06 February in the Training Centre of the Secretariat for European Affairs, and it is organised in cooperation with the French Embassy, in the framework of Bilateral Administrative Agreement between the Secretariat for European Affairs and the Embassy of France in the Republic of Macedonia.
In this way, the Deputy Prime Minister Besimi and the Ambassador Auer convinced themselves of the expertise and professional level of training maintenance, which confirms that through the excellent cooperation of these and similar ways, knowledge and experiences of the Member States of the European Union can be transferred to the young generations of the Republic of Macedonia.
