Today, the Deputy Prime Minister of the Government in charge of European Affairs, Dr Fatmir Besimi, held a meeting with the Ambassador of the Hellenic Republic in Skopje, H.E. Haris Lalakos.
The purpose of the meeting was to exchange opinions and to make an overview of measures and activities undertaken by the Government of the Republic of Macedonia in the EU integration process as well as in the promotion of good neighbourly relations.
At the meeting, the Deputy Prime Minister Besimi and the Ambassador Lalakos emphasised the importance for the progress of the Republic of Macedonia in the EU integration process and, in order to further enhance this process, they expressed their readiness to deepen and intensify the cooperation between the two countries through bilateral cooperation and cooperation in the field of European integration process.
At the meeting, the Deputy Prime Minister of the Government Dr. Fatmir Besimi and the Ambassador of the Hellenic Republic Harris Lalakos expressed willingness for further efforts in order to deepen the cooperation between the two countries through meetings and contacts at all levels.
