The Deputy President of the Government of the Republic of Macedonia for European Affairs, Fatmir Besimi PhD, today had a meeting with the newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Croatia in our country, Ms. Danijela Barisic.
The key priorities in the European Union accession process, established with the High Level Accession Dialogue were highlighted during the talks: freedom of speech and media, judiciary, fight against corruption and organised crime, interethnic relations, public administration reform, good neighborly relations, regional cooperation and enhancing economic growth and employment.
The importance of the progress achievement in the political dialogue, as well as the fulfilment of the obligations arising from the Agreement of 2nd of July, the Annex of 19th of June and the Protocol of 15th of July, was stressed on the meeting.
Besimi, therefore, underlined that we see Croatia as an important partner, together with Germany and Poland on the twinning project "Strengthening the institutional capacities in the process of European integration", which is initially aimed for strengthening of SEP’s capacities, as well as the other institutions involved in the EU integration process.
