The Deputy Prime Minister of the Government in charge of European affairs Dr. Fatmir Besimi, today attended the final annual meeting with the ambassadors of the EU Member States accredited in the Republic of Macedonia.
The Deputy Prime Minister used this meeting to familiarize the guests with the outcome of the discussions held during the recent visit to Brussels and to the European institutions, as well as to inform about the latest steps that Macedonia has undertaken for overcoming the findings of the European Commission Report regarding the progress achieved by the Republic of Macedonia for 2013.
The Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of the Republic of Macedonia, Besimi, confirmed the dedication of the Government of the Republic of Macedonia to the enacted reforms, as well as to the Euro-integration path of the country. The Deputy Prime Minister pointed out that each EU member state is a partner in our integration process in the European Union. The commitment for resolving the unresolved issues with our neighbours was once again repeated, and in this occasion support was requested from the EU member-states to facilitate the process of leaving behind the existing differences with Greece and Bulgaria.
The Deputy Prime Minister expressed his expectation that, at the December Summit, the Member States will acknowledge the progress made by the Republic of Macedonia, which was also confirmed in the European Commission Report and that a signal will be given for continuation of the reforms covered by the High Level Accession Dialogue.
