The Deputy Prime Minister in charge of European Affairs, Bojan Maricik had a meeting with the Bulgarian MEP and Rapporteur for Northern Macedonia, Ilhan Kjucuk, where they discussed the new approach and the direction of the dialogue between the Republic of North Macedonia and the Republic of Bulgaria.
"In a pleasant atmosphere of mutual respect, we talked with the Bulgarian MEP and rapporteur for North Macedonia, Ilhan Kјucuk, and confirmed that both sides are willing to make rapid progress in cooperation and to give new value to relations between the two countries." The new approach of the two countries to return the dialogue to the right path will contribute to strengthening trust and reviving good relations between citizens, which is our obligation and duty as politicians. "I am convinced that the talks between the two countries will continue at this pace, in the spirit of good neighbourly relations and European values," Maricik wrote on his Facebook profile.
Today's meeting between Deputy Prime Minister for European Affairs Maricik and MEP Kucuk is part of the bilateral conference "BGMK 2030": Civic contribution in building trust, unity and alliance, in which both of them participated.
