The Deputy Prime Minister in charge of European Affairs, Bojan Maricik, in a statement to "Alsat M" said that according to their analysis, the country already has 45% harmonization in the area of legislation, and if this dynamic continues, he believes that the pace will be faster than Serbia and Montenegro that have been negotiating for 10 years.
- Practically in the middle of September, the screening begins both by Clusters and by Chapters. First of all, we will proceed with the first phase by adding to that explanatory screening, where the European Commission will present to us what we need to harmonize until membership, and then the bilateral phase, when the member states will be involved with their own findings, with their own points of view, and based on that, it will last 14-16 months, and during that period we will have to prepare those key documents, added Deputy Prime Minister Maricik.
